About the event
Motivation
Thalia wants to help empower people who may find themselves in positions where they are direct victims or witnesses of transgressive behaviour (any unwanted, harmful, or threatening behaviour that violates the boundaries, rights, or values of another person causing physical, mental, and/or emotional harm) by teaching them how to identify this behaviour and how to safely deal with it. Fairspace's 'Bystander Intervention Training' offers this course with practical examples and real-life scenario training. Recently, there has been a high demand for these types of courses all across the Netherlands due to the recent case of femicide and gender-based violence cases circulating in the news - Thalia finds it appropriate and relevant to offer this opportunity to the community of Wageningen as well.
